Website: Could not find a website for this brewing company
What the company says: I could not find a website for this company. A beer ratings site sent me to Matt’s Brewing Company which seems to brew Saranac. But there was nothing on this site about the beer
What I say: I’m not a pro on IPAs but it seems I like the stronger ones. Stronger as in stronger hop aroma and taste. This one just doesn’t have that. It has a really nice Amber color to it. Some reviews state they smell and taste a lot of citrus, piney, etc but I really didn’t get that. I do smell a tad of it. Also a lot of reviews claim it’s very hoppy. I also didn’t get that in the bottle I drank. What I got was a was IPA that was a tad boring. Not horrible at all but not like great like some of the other IPA’s I’ve had. This is a middle of the road IPA but it is very easy to drink. Goes down nice.
Update: I started reviewing this beer before I drank the whole glass. When I went back to the beer I feel like I gave this beer a hard time. It hit me that this beer isn’t as bad as I wrote above and it does offer a different taste than other IPA’s. It’s not strong but the other tastes in this beer really hit it right for me. So I shall raise the rating from 3 to a 3.5
