Yup that’s me. My name is Dave and I’m addicted to good beer. It used to be that I would drink to get a buzz on but my how things changed. First off I’m not 21 anymore and I really can’t handle feeling like that anymore. Getting old sucks. But instead of searching for the next buzz, I’ve come to love finding the next great beer.
What a lot of people out there don’t know is there are a ton of beers out there. A lot of people out there are stuck on their Budweiser, Coors, or Coronas. They have no idea that in their area is probably a place that has such fantastic craft beers that they might never drink another Bud again. Before I go on, I just want to say thanks Craft Breweries, thanks for showing me the light.
I can honestly blame my friend Jeff for this blog and my addiction to trying new beers. You see, I lived in Pennsylvania most of my life and in my area Yuengling Lager was king. It’s what everyone drank. It’s pretty much all I knew but last year at a concert my friend Jeff brought in twelve different beers. At that time I was starting to drink different beers but that’s what really started the journey. Honestly I think the beer that really got me on the journey was Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA. While drinking it, I said wow this is pretty good and he said well hopefully one day you’ll find the 90 Minute. 90 Minute? There’s a 90 minute? Jokingly I said well Hah is there a 120 minute? Of course he said yes and well that started my journey into finding new beers. Thanks Jeff.
Lastly. Let me just say that I am not a professional beer drinker or reviewer. I have horrible grammar. I usually don’t spell check my posts. I’m just here to make people aware of what is out there. It’s everywhere. You won’t need to look very far. You’ll be surprised how much great beer is out there. Drop the Coors of Budweiser and drink a craft beer. Some of you might stay with the old stuff but I guarantee you’ll think twice.
